MUSTAD hook patterns are MB-Tested (Mustad Bending Test). In this test we measure the load in kilograms it takes for the hook to straighten out. These values establish a norm for the weight a high-quality hook should be able to hold.
MUSTAD’s unique tempering process ensures even strength and high quality. Before being tempered the hooks are forged, which in this context means that the hook wire is a bit compressed. By doing this, the strength of the hook is increased by over 30%.
HOOK SHAPES AND FINISHES
It is tough to tell by the photography which Mustad hooks have which finish and what differences there are in similar hooks. The 94151 has a chrome finish. The 94150 has the same shape but has a bronze finish.
