Mexico Entry Requirements
Passengers traveling by air into Mexico MUST have a tourist card (usually given to you by the airline when you board)
Keep the copy given to you for your return. Proof of citizenship is required for entry into Mexico as well as re-entry into the U.S.
when checking in at the airport.
Proper proof of citizenship is having ONE of the following:
For US Citizens:
1) Valid U.S. Passport
2) Certified copy of your Birth Certificate and photo ID (Drivers License) Birth certificate MUST be stamped by the county where
you were born. A copy from the hospital is not acceptable.
3) Notorized Affidavit of US citizenship and photo ID (Drivers License).
Please check with your airline as they do not all accept this as proof of citizenship.
For U.S. Residents (not citizens):
Valid Passport from their country of origin with INS Card (Green Card).
Other Travel Info:
Married women with last name different than your spouse should carry a marriage license or certified copy of marriage license
with their married name.
Citizens of countries other than the U.S. should contact the Mexican Consulate General for specific requirements
that may apply.
Single parents traveling to Mexico with children under 18 years of age are required, as per mexican law, to have a notarized letter from the
non-accompanying parent stating that they have given consent for the child to leave the country. Failure to comply may result
in denied boarding.
Minors traveling alone, even with permission from both parrents, are prohibited from traveling unless they will be met by an
adult in Mexico. Before minors are allowed to board, the name, address and phone number of the adult meeting them at the
destination airport must be provided.

Passengers without the proper documentation cannot be transported into Mexico. Proper proof of citizenship is YOUR responsibility.
Mexican Fishing Info:
Everyone on a boat that has any fishing tackle on board must have a fishing license. This includes children old enough to hold a fishing pole.
Any boat including a kayak that has fishing tackle on board must have a Mexican boat permit.
A fishing license is not required when fishing from shore.
Only one rod or line with hook per person is permitted in the water for each angler. Multiple back-up rods and tackle is permitted.
Mexican fishing licenses allow the capture of fin fish only, no mollusks or crustaceans. Tortuava and turtles are protected
and may not be taken by any means.
For bottom fishing up to 4 hooks may be used.
Electric reels are restricted to disabled fisherman only, after written authorization from the Ministry, Oficina de Pesca.
